Welcome to BorovGaming DarkRP!
The purpose of this rule page is to remove ambiguity and clearly define what is and isn’t allowed. We want all players to have a fun positive experience while playing, and these rules help make that possible.

These guidelines are absolute, and failure to follow them may result in warnings, kicks, or bans depending on severity and prior history.

1. GENERAL RULES & CONDUCT

1.1 Respect & Behavior

  • Treat all players fairly and respectfully. Do not insult, harass, stalk, antagonize, or continually provoke another player.

  • Racism, hate speech, extremist rhetoric, slurs, and discriminatory language are forbidden in all contexts.

  • Personal attacks, targeted harassment, and repeated griefing of specific players are not tolerated.

  • Threatening to harm, dox, DDoS, or harass someone in real life will result in immediate punitive action regardless of intent.

1.2 Chat & Mic Usage

  • No mic spam, soundboards, or intentionally disruptive noises unless a job explicitly permits it.

  • No earrape, loud sound effects, or music in voice chat without consent.

  • Refrain from spamming in OOC, advert, or text chat.

  • Impersonation of staff, well-known community members, or official server factions is prohibited.

1.3 Exploiting & Cheating

  • Exploiting game mechanics, dupes, map bugs, physics glitches, or unintended behavior is strictly forbidden.

  • No cheats, scripts, macros, auto-clickers, or any tool intended to give you an advantage.

  • If you discover an exploit, you must report it to staff instead of using it.

1.4 Staff Interaction

  • Do not lie to staff, hide information, or mislead them during sits.

  • Arguing excessively with staff or refusing to follow directions is considered FailRP.

  • Attempting to manipulate sits or provoke staff action against another player without valid basis is punishable.

2. RDM / RDA / COMBAT RULES

2.1 RDM (Random Deathmatch)

You may only kill players for clear, justifiable RP reasons. Examples of VALID reasons include:

  • Self-defense when attacked

  • Defending your property against trespassers after giving a verbal warning

  • Being involved in an active raid, mugging, kidnapping, or hit

INVALID reasons include:

  • “They annoyed me”

  • “They looked at my base”

  • “They bumped into me”

  • “I thought they might attack me”

2.2 ARDM

Attempting to kill someone without proper reasoning is considered ARDM and is punishable.

2.3 Mass RDM

Killing 3 or more players without valid RP reason is mass RDM.
This results in immediate ban.

3. NLR — NEW LIFE RULE

3.1 NLR Definition

When you die, your character loses all memory of how and why you died.

For 3 minutes:

  • You may not return to the area you died in.

  • You may not attempt revenge or re-engage in the prior conflict.

  • You may not continue raids, counterraids, or gunfights you died in.

  • You may not use information from before your death (e.g., “they’re hiding printers in the back room”).

3.2 NLR Exceptions

  • Dying in spawn or unavoidable public areas may not trigger NLR.

  • Police responding to ongoing crimes may return after the 3-minute period.

4. PROP RULES

4.1 Forbidden Prop Usage

The following are strictly disallowed:

  • Prop killing

  • Prop blocking

  • Prop pushing

  • Prop surfing

  • Prop climbing

  • Prop spam or mass placing

  • One-way props that cannot be shot through

  • Using props to defend yourself in combat

4.2 Building Rules

  • You cannot build in spawn, in the streets, or in another player’s owned base.

  • Buildings must be stationary—no unfrozen props.

  • Do not place props during active raids, mugging attempts, or combat situations.

  • One-ways are allowed ONLY if they are for visibility. You may NOT shoot through, damage through, or interact through a one-way.
If you can shoot a raider while the raider cannot clearly shoot you back, the prop setup is illegal.

4.3 Aesthetic Props

Cosmetic props are allowed so long as they do not obstruct pathways, sightlines, or other players’ movement.

5. BASE BUILDING & DEFENSE RULES

5.1 Fading Doors

  • Bases may use a maximum of 3 fading doors protecting valuables.

  • All fading doors must have working keypads.

  • Keypad hold time must be 4 seconds or longer.

Your base must:

  • Have at least one accessible entrance

  • Police may not own printers or illegal items.
